About Kaitlyn

Dr. Kaitlyn Goldsmith holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and is a Registered Psychologist in the province of B.C. She is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at UBC.

Dr. Goldsmith works with clients looking to address a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, grief, chronic pain, emotion regulation, body image, self-esteem, changing problematic behaviours, life transitions, peripartum mental health, trauma, and chronic pain/chronic health conditions. She has extensive training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based interventions, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Dr. Goldsmith also has special training in sexual health concerns including low sexual desire, desire discrepancies in couples, peripartum and postpartum sexuality, sexual dysfunction, problematic sexual behaviours, and sexual pain. She also practices at the B.C. Centre for Vulvar Health at Vancouver General Hospital where she sees patients with vulvar health concerns including vulvodynia, vaginismus, and vulvar diseases.

Kaitlyn loves to travel and has visited 50 countries including Uganda, Brazil, China, Japan, Egypt, and India

Kaitlyn has lived outside of B.C. for a total of five years to complete her training as a clinical psychologist. This has included living in the maritimes and the prairies.

Kaitlyn loves to read and aims to read about one book per week, or 52 books per year. One year, she reached her goal of reading her height in books, which was 67 books!
